Hey man, thanks for asking! I've been working on something on and off the past year, but recently decided I should do something different. This is pretty much how it's been for my past two games but I really want to get something out this year so I'm hoping I can get a lot done this summer.
I would like to collaborate with you, on your next projects.
I'm a game writer for various indie studios , and always on the lookout for new challengers.
My role as a writer is to formulate character / narrative driven documents , gaming and character backstories , as well as implementing puzzles and side quests.

I too have completed my first kinetic VN - Axiom Alternative. Available for purchase on STEAM, and very soon will be working on another VN project with a different studio, and Axiom Alternative 2 is currently available on STEAM. I'm up for any challenge, and would like the opportunity to show your studio what writing material I can bring to the table.

In September I'll be attending game development classes where I'll definitely be switching gears into a more team-based mindset though. Thanks man! Tbh I didn't put much thought into making it feel like a complete game, but wanted to see if I could just create a creepy atmosphere. So it's technically done, but I plan on making my next game feel like a more finished product.
This game is pretty good! It has my favorite type of jumpscare in it, the atmosphere is pretty creepy, and the monster/ghost is just... hmm scary. I made a video of the game and gave more thought at the end! Good job Cody for the game and Eric for the music! =)

I'm definitely gonna attempt at a more concrete story for my next game so hopefully I can make that work lol!

You did a really good job with this game. The atmosphere and constant tenseness are really well done. Mainly because of the amount of times you expect something to happen, but it doesn't. If this game was longer and managed to keep the same atmosphere, while taking it slow then it would make it even more awesome than it already is. All in all you did an awesome job with this game and I'm very impressed. This game put me on edge the whole time, and that's coming from someone who grew up playing dead space. So the fact that you spooked me pretty good should show how well the atmosphere is. Well that's all I've got to say. Good game or maybe I'm just a pussy.

No idea what was going on but, it was fun and spoopy. Loved the part where I was expecting a jumpscare and there was none; only to be scared by a jumpscare in the very next scene. xD It's the first video in my three random horror games video.
It seems fine, but at least the Linux version that I've tried is very buggy. To grab the flashlight you have to crouch, or the hand icon doesn't appear. Then to grab the key in top of the table after the first encounter the hand didn't appeared at all, I had to press Esc which didn't bring the menu but made the hand appear. And the 3rd and worst bug is after you grab the floating key in the hallway part, in there the game freezes completely and can't continue playing.
Wow, after hearing that I probably should take down the linux version, sorry that happened man! I want as many people to play it if possible but considering there's bug that actually won't let you continue then yeah it's not worth it. I'll definitely see if I can get all versions to work correctly for my next game but unfortunately I'll have to leave this one as it is. Thanks for letting me know though!
I don't know why everyone is mentioning the atmosphere when there isn't any. No ambiance, lighting techniques, nothing to add to the atmosphere. The game has no scary features, the jumpscares are too quiet and too poorly presented for it to be scary, and finally, there's just nothing there. Just walk around "E" ing on doors and walking to cliche horror old women #95.
Thanks for giving your honest opinion lol! I feel the atmosphere I went for is more superficial than what is considered actual atmosphere, which I feel is what you mean by having no atmosphere. I definitely agree that the scares need work which I hopefully can accomplish in my next game, which I promise won't be a walking sim this time lol! Thanks for checking it though and hopefully I can aim higher next time!
Nice short horror experience. I'm curious to know more about the story - what exactly happened and why is the character doomed to their fate? Other than that, the game has a creepy atmosphere and some decent scares in it.

Great game! Graphics style reminded me a lot to 2004-2005 games (similar to RE4). Lady spooks behaviour was really well designed, too.
